I am sure that Ken Shamrock, now approaching his 45^th birthday, is asking himself how many fights do I have left in me.  While he is in better shape now than I was at 18, he has to be feeling the age and the physical limitations on the abuse that is inflicted on the body while in the cage.  He has done his due diligence by being passionate about his craft and promoting himself over the years as a household name in the MMA world.  Now it looks as though he is positioned to use his brand to fly into new ventures. My recollection of his first entry to the fight scene was at the first Ultimate Fighting Championships. This first illegal bare knuckle street fight televised on pay-per-view launched the beginning of a fanatical culture and today's legitimate Mixed Martial Arts Sport.  From this beginning, Ken showed us a different look at fighting, submission/wrestling style.  While most of the competitors that night were from different disciplines such as karate, kempo, and even boxing, Ken's fighting style was more eloquent and precise.  This is what made him initially stand out in the crowd of the other combatants. In my opinion, Ken "The World's most Dangerous Man" Shamrock is taking a proactive approach ensuring his success in the MMA world, not only in the cage but also outside of it.  I have been reading about the outside endeavors of Ken and it got me thinking about another well known success in his craft, Gene Simmons of the legendary rock band Kiss.  Gene as most people know is King Midas when it comes to developing an ongoing revenue stream.  While comparing these two high profile individuals in their respective occupations, I noticed the similarities in the path Gene Simmons and Ken Shamrock have and are taking to the road to riches.
