Fedor Emelianenko’s Highest Risk Fight

Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko has everything to lose and everything to gain tomorrow night at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois as he takes on a larger but inexperienced Brett “The Grim” Rogers. His risk of losing this fight clearly out weighs winning because if he wins this still is not a challenge of proving he is the best fighter in MMA. Kimbo Slice Ultimate Fighter TUF 10 Episode 1

TUF 10 episode 1 of the Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights was an overall disappointment.  I personally didn’t like how they brought in and introduced Kimbo Slice as an ultimate fighter contestant.  I’ve been following the talks about the premiere of TUF 10 all summer.  So I wasn’t that surprised and I’m sure the other contestants weren’t either.   They had to know ahead of time who was going to be competing with them. Preliminary Fights shown on Spike live for first time ever

For the first time ever, the UFC will air the preliminary fights leading up to the main card for UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort.

This I believe is a great marketing technique to draw more pay-per-view buys for the main card.  We have seen this tactic before in another genius entrepreneur, Vince McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. Read the rest of this entry »
